![]() |
On 3 April 2007 I officially started working with EVOLVER on a full time basis. Evolver is one of South Africa's premier rock bands with a large national following. The members are Peter Pote, Sean Murphy, Tulsa Pittaway and James Cohen. Evolver hit the SA music circuit 4 years ago, with their breakout single, `Lets Get Naked', being released by 5FM on the Hi5 at 5, where it reached No.5, before going on to reach the No.16 spot on the Coca-Cola Top40. `Closer to you', was then released in early 2005 also charted on various stations around the country. The band has since completed eight national tours, and released their debut full-length album 'Get Up' last year. The singles "Get Up" and "Magician" were play listed on stations across the, `Keep on Moving', catapulted to the top, hitting No.1 on 5FMs Hi 5 at 5. EVOLVER recently recorded the theme song "Deadlines" for the SA drama series Snitch. Please visit the following links for more on the band www.evolver.co.za, for audio and video and dates go to www.myspace.com/evolverband |

| 08/16/2005 | Solo album |
I am in the process of
recording my first solo album, which I hope to have complete by the
end of the year. There will be 12 tracks on the album and will feature
mainly the talents of Paul McIver, Dino Dente and Vernon Hodgetts to
name some (not to mention myself of course). The songs are deeply personal
for the most part and the subject matter is somewhat diverse. I have
found this to be a moving experience with many magical moments and I’m
sure you will feel that energy when you listen to the record. Till then
though keep your ears and eyes open for more news as we await the exact
release dates. |
